Will I travel with people from other countries

The beauty of taking a guided getaway vacation with us is you’ll have the opportunity to meet and travel with people from all over the globe.

How many people will be on my travel?

You’ll find an average of 5 to 12 guests on travel throughout the Philippines. In many of our land and sea tour packages.

 Will I have free time?

Each itinerary offers the perfect balance of downtime and discoveries. We also give you the opportunity to custom tailor your travel with Optional Toppings. Our staycation travel offers a more relaxed pace, with later starts and longer stays in each destination.

 What are the transportations like?

We pride ourselves on having the finest fleet of fuel-efficient, fully air-conditioned transportations. We also have on board WiFi.

 Are the hotels air conditioned?

We select our hotels for their quality, impeccable service and comfort, with the majority of them having air-conditioning. Few hotels in the northern Benguet province have air conditioning due to the colder climate.

 What is a Tour Guide?

Our Tour Guides come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all share a passion for travel and their home provinces. These experienced professionals show you what the guidebooks can’t – a true insider’s perspective of each destination. Each Tour Guide has been through a bespoke training program, and many have at least five years’ experience under their belt.

 Can I book a group?

We take the hassle out of booking a group vacation – and we offer some great discounts for five or more people. Groups will receive discounts as land-only part of their travel, and larger groups will save even more.

 Does Barilla Travel and Tours promote sustainable tourism?

We greatly support and maintain laws and practices set fort by the Department of Tourism (“DOT”) of the Philippines. Our travel and tours business is on a steady path in getting the accreditation of the DOT by committing our business practices to its standards.

BEFORE TRAVELLING WITH OUR TOURS

Are airport transfers included?

Transfers will depend on the travel you choose and vary amongst destinations. In general, if you are joining or departing your guided vacation on the first or last day, return transfers between the airport and hotel are included (excludes itineraries starting and/or ending in Manila or at any part of the Philippines). You’ll find specific information on your itinerary’s sent quotation.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend that all guests have a travel insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind before and while traveling. It’s important that you protect yourself in case of travel cancellations, an interruption for any reason, baggage delays or loss of baggage and medical expenses.

You can purchase travel insurance through Barilla Travel and Tours. With our Travel Protection Plan you can enjoy comprehensive coverage during your vacation, designed exclusively to ensure your protection in the event that an unforeseen incident occurs or your plans need to change.

 Will I need a passport?

Passports are needed when travelling outside of your home country. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your travel.

 Will I need a visa?

You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your guided vacation. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your travel. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your Travel Agent and the local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance to determine which visas they require and how to obtain them.

Registration provides us with important details such as emergency contact information, dietary restrictions and travel preferences which allows us to deliver the best possible travel experience for you.

How much luggage can I bring?

You can bring one suitcase per person with the dimensions of 76cm x 46cm x 25cm (30” x 18” x 10”) and weight not exceeding 23kg (50 lbs) due to the limited space on the transportation. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage, provided it is small enough to take on the transportation and does not have telescopic handles.

Can I bring a wheelchair on my travel?

Yes, in most circumstances you’re able to travel with a wheelchair on your travel, as long as you’re travelling with someone who’s willing to provide personal assistance. Please advise us at the time of booking if you plan to bring a wheelchair to ensure we can meet your requirements.

 Will I need to pack formal clothes?

This will depend on not only your personal preference, but the destinations you’re visiting and the time of year you’ll be travelling. We’d recommend bringing at least one smart outfit for special evenings.

WHILST YOUR ON YOUR TRAVEL

What are Optional Toppings and when can I book them?

We realize that everyone likes some time to themselves, which is why we’ve left free time on all of our itineraries. If you want to get the most out of your destination, our Optional Toppings let you tailor your travel. Your Tour Guide will tell you about all of the Optional Experiences available on the first day of your travel. Payment can be made by credit card or cash.

Will I need electrical adaptors?

Electrical plugs and outlets differ throughout the world. We recommend bringing a universal travel adaptor that’s suitable for the countries you are travelling to.

Will I be able to get laundry done?

Most hotels do offer a laundry service and in some cities Laundromats are also available. However, it’s sensible to try and pack enough clothing to avoid having to do laundry, as it can sometimes be costly or inconvenient.

Is there seat rotation on the transportation?

Yes, your Tour Guide will implement a seat rotation system, whereby all guests will rotate their seats on the transportation daily. This allows for everyone to experience the spectacular views from different seats, and you’ll have a better opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers.

What if I arrive late and miss a part of the travel?

We regret that no refunds can be made for absences from a travel, including experiences such as missed meals or sightseeing. Please never part far from the group as much as possible.

Can I smoke on the transportation?

There is a no smoking policy when on board the transportation. We do, however, make plenty of comfort stops.
