Bicol is segmented into 6 provinces which are Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon and 2 separate islands of Catanduanes and Masbate – are arranged if we are coming from Manila by land arrangements.

To write about Bicol and its different destinations in one post is impossible. We have to hand picked the best locations and then will linked it up throughout the years. There are so much more to discover in Bicol!

For us now, these are Bicol region’s finest travel finds:

Bagaspas – Daet, Camarines Norte

Known to be one of the best surfing location around the country, Bagaspas beach in Daet, Camarines Norte is one of our best bet to suffice your thirst for salt and sand. Awesome sunrise and a magical after glow – well defines the atmosphere. Best time to bring your boards – are on the summer months (April to May) and wind are far great from September to November.

We actually once teamed up with the surfers and coordinators on a championship surf league here and its was just Awesome – Bicol Surf Jam.

Calaguas Islands – Vinzons, Camarines Norte

Did you ever thought that Boracay was the only island in the Philippines to have the finest white sand? The egg does not fall far from the nest! And this egg that recently hatched is the remote island in the far side of the Pacific ocean – the remarkable island of Calaguas.

Naga City, Camarines Sur

If your just far far away from Bicol to go on land and don’t want a aching back after the road trip, take a plane to land at Naga City.  You would be basically in the middle of Bicol when your here and its loaded of things to do like museum tours, mountain climb and chase water falls in Mt. Isarog, and many other. There is also wake boarding in CWC that you could try out and be your next X-sport thing.

Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur

There are few words now to tell about this islands as it is now one of the fastest growing famous island in the Philippines not because only it is featured in the Survivor TV series, but its unique beach island features. Each island beach thru the boat tour has different kind of sand; white, brown, peach and gray – you will find the difference when you there.

Legazpi City. Albay

Off to the next major city and perhaps the major attraction of Bicol and that’s Mt. Mayon! There is a saying that if this active volcano shows up on you from afar – then it likes you. It would be best if your taking the next flight and not the next bus to Legazpi City as your travel on road will be a minimum of 12 hours (if from Manila), yet why not? if you have the time, then go for the road trip! Aside from taking your best photo with the best looking / almost perfect shaped cone volcano, take on the great ATV ride for best scenic adventures.

Sorsogon City. Albay

Stretching south or 2 hours from Legazpi City Airport by land, and you will find another active yet beautifully God crafted volcano – and this is Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon. It has a lake which gratitudes the the beauty of the mountain and its wonder of pure serenity.

Ticao Island, Masbate

We have place this post in #moreplacesinthephilippines as it truly belongs to this category. Hey! at any concert, if the crowd really likes the band, then the crowd just shouts out MORE MORE! Ticao Island is just amazingly More! Not just, we want to complete the post for Bicol, but because its Bicol way to let you bursts out and stretch your bucket list for more and explore just about what reign’s in your heart to do – that is to travel!

Catanduanes Island

We are merely done and boils down to just one last island or province that Bicol has to offer, and this is the Happy island of Catanduanes. Rolling hills of Cagnipa, Puraran Surf spot, and Batag beach are one of the major spots you need to see.
